Advanced Payment Tools Now More Accessible to SMEs

Advanced payment tools, previously available only to major e-commerce players, are now set to be accessible to small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) due to a partnership between Aevi and Legi.one.

Advanced Payment Tools More Accessible for SMEs

Aevi, a provider of personal payment services, announced a partnership with Legi.one, an innovative platform focused on providing payment services and business solutions. Initially, the companies plan to implement a solution for cashless transactions via payment terminals for SMEs.

In the future, both companies intend to expand their presence in the e-commerce sector, providing SMEs with solutions for managing transactions in both physical stores and online platforms. Besides, they plan to open SMEs access to payment technologies originally developed for large businesses, including advance payments.

The ultimate goal of the partnership is to enable smaller merchants to offer a service level comparable to that of the largest market players, enhancing their competitiveness and strengthening their position in e-commerce.

Aevi provides cross-border payment services for the e-commerce market and serves over 260,000 merchants, processing more than 3 billion transactions. Legi.one is a major local provider of payment services for businesses, processing approximately half of all commercial payments in the Czech Republic.

Recently, SMEs in Switzerland gained the opportunity to attract investments and increase liquidity by tokenizing their shares on the Ethereum blockchain and then listing digital assets on a local crypto exchange. In Germany, in 2023, SME loans were tokenized, offering token holders monthly returns.
