At Sony's State of Play yesterday, developer Nomada Studio revealed a DLC prequel to its beautiful and award-winning puzzle platformer Neva. Entitled merely Neva: Prologue, it tells the story of how Alba and her wolf companion Neva met, whereas introducing new gameplay mechanics, locales and challenges.
"In Neva: Prologue, gamers observe Alba as she chases a path of white butterflies deep into the corrupted swamps, solely to find a frightened wolf cub, misplaced and alone," Nomada writes. "To outlive, Alba should earn the cub’s belief and information them each via the blighted wetlands and the darkish forces that stalk them."
The developer provides that Neva: Prologue is designed to be skilled after finishing the primary sport. It provides three new areas, "every that includes distinctive gameplay mechanics, alongside new enemies and intense boss encounters." Completionists may even get 5 hidden problem flowers.
In her assessment of the unique sport, Engadget's Jessica Conditt discovered Neva "faultless" due to the beautiful swordplay and intuitive platforming motion, together with the "beautiful" world composed of "lush forests, sun-drenched valleys, hovering mountains and twisting cave techniques." Neva: Prologue will launched as a standalone DLC on February 19.
